# How do I delete my GregMat account?

Go to the following page:

https://www.gregmat.com/delete-account/

Follow the instructions on the page to delete your account.

||| Deleting your account is permanent; we won't be able to recover your account if you change your mind. Leaving the account inactive is usually a better choice.

|| You cannot delete your account when an active subscription is present. You must cancel your subscription first before you can delete your account.

### What is __not__ deleted?

* Some account logs - we use them to check for abuse
* Chat logs - they are handled outside of GregMAT and we retain them for various reasons, including checking for abuse. 
* Forum posts and comments - they are also handled outside of GregMAT. Posts and comments cannot be deleted as that'll result in a loss of information; you can simply anonymise your username (or contact us if you cannot login).
